The Hikes
The Thousand Oaks Trailblazers
is a group of folks who get together several times a week to enjoy the bounty of hiking trails in the Santa Monica Mountains, Simi Hills, and Santa Susana Mountains. We have also launched expeditions to other areas of California. Our membership comes from the Conejo and San Fernando Valleys as well as the West LA area.
This website describes many of the hikes we conduct on a recurring basis.
As we further explore new trails, we will add these to the site. As a visitor to this website, you can view descriptions, maps, and photographs of the sites we have documented to date. Access this material via the menu, above.
What You Need To Know
Everyone hikes at their own risk. The Thousand Oaks Trailblazers is an informal gathering of folks, not a business entity. We share the mountain areas with numerous animals and plants that can harm a person in addition to the risk of injury from falls, strains, dehydration and such. We do look after one another but hiking is not a risk-free exercise.
